Sharon M. Weinstein, MS, CRNI-R®, RN, FACW, FAAN, CSP

Work/life balance expert and author Sharon Weinstein has worked long hours and ignored the stressors that affect our relationships, family, job, productivity, outputs, and health.

Is balance within the reach of a select few, or are we all eligible for this gift?

With over three decades of global healthcare experience, speaking, and most importantly, real-life, firsthand business experience, her view is extremely different.

Sharon appreciates, and shares with her audiences, that balance is a lifestyle choice and not about the latest fads, ads, or promotions. Balance is for everyone, every day. It’s how we should live our lives.

Sharon, often referred to as a Stressbuster for her ability to identify stressors and solutions, is recognized globally for her ability to empower others to be all that that they can be! Sharon combines real-life stories and conversational techniques that immediately resonate with her audience. She works with organizations that want to learn how life balance can drive safety, satisfaction, and success!

She directed the Office of International Affairs for the U.S.-based hospital alliance, Premier, for over 10 years. She holds the coveted Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation, the highest earned international recognition for professional speakers. This makes her one of only 12% of all speakers to hold this designation and one of only 22 nurses in the world with this credential.

The author of the award-winning, B is for Balance, 2nd edition, 12 steps toward a more balanced life at home and at work; Weinstein’s work has been shared with participants across the country and around the globe. Companies such as: Premier, AIHA, Meritus Health, BD, Kaplan, YWCA, Kellogg Alumni, George Washington University Hospital, OR Managers, BMO Harris Bank, Medline Industries, Central Clinical Hospital (Moscow), have partnered with Sharon when they want a balanced workforce, greater productivity and staff satisfaction.

Prior to her commitment to work/life balance, Sharon, a registered nurse by education and passion, worked 100 hours per week, 3 countries per week until she missed a family event because of a flight delay in Eastern Europe. The plane had contraband onboard, and the delay extended for 4 days. Sharon realized that she needed to shift her paradigm and ‘get a life.’ And that’s exactly what she did!

She is a graduate of the Kellogg Executive Management Program and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. She is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Nursing at the University of Illinois, Chicago College of Nursing, Associate Dean of Speakers Academy and Vice President of NSA-DC, past president of the Infusion Nurses Society, president of the Global Education Development Institute, and a member of the professional advisory board for Kaplan University.

She has conquered the balancing act, and lives and works stress-free!
